AWRY Bold silver ring

Magdalena Štastníková
Magdalena Štastníková

"Awry" means failed, flawed, twisted. The collection was inspired by failed, twisted pieces of wax, which the author molded into the desired shape of the jewellery after casting. A mistake eventually became a wearable piece of jewelry. The name refers both to the original mistake from which the collection was created, as well as to a twisted perspective on the mistakes that each of us makes and that we can easily turn into our decoration.

MOMENTUM 1 gold-plated knuckle ring

Magdalena Štastníková
Magdalena Štastníková

"Momentum" describes the fall, speed and intensity of events, but also the momentum of bodies. At the same time, the words "moment" and "mind" are hidden in the word, which refers to the author's ability to perceive moments and the ability to notice and experience the moment.

The collection is a symbol of the elusiveness of the natural life cycle. The jewellery, which can be put on and worn in several ways, resembles a flowing mass and bouncing drops flowing between the fingers, symbolizing time. Pieces are deliberately created only for the hands (fingers and palm), which denote touching or grasping. The MOMENTUM collection is therefore a stoppage of rapidly and constantly changing matter in time and gives us the opportunity to glimpse the detail of one moment, while the author's effort is to emphasize the importance of perceiving and experiencing details and ordinary moments so that life does not just slip through our fingers.
