The surface of these vases is not glazed, which is rather unusual in ceramics. Instead of glaze, the artist creates her own special layer made from a mixture of pigments, giving the objects their characteristic velvety blue appearance and a striking depth of color. This makes each vase not only functional but also a distinctly artistic and collectible piece.
