A graduate of the AAAD. During her studies, she completed an internship in Halle, Germany in Daniel Krugr's Schmuck studio. She is fascinated by craftsmanship, technology and the infinite potential of materials. She puts emphasis on precise processing and detail. She perceives the jewel as an intimate statement, something very close to the body. She is trying to include the following principles in her work – creation, growth, balance, sensuousness and sensibility.
Čo je najlepšie na tom byť šperkárkou?
Vyrábať šperky som túžila od malička. Fascinuje ma remeslo a jeho nekonečné možnosti, stále je čo objaviť a čo sa učiť. Šperk má krásnu symboliku a hĺbku, povedala by som až posolstvo. Nejde o nič prchavé, šperky sa často dedia z generácie na generáciu, darujú sa k významným životným udalostiam. Ja ako tvorca som toho súčasťou, čo je fascinujúce.
Popíš svoj obľúbený materiál, s ktorým pracuješ. Aké v tebe vyvoláva pocity?
Každý materiál je tvárny iným spôsobom, ja rada pracujem so zlatom a striebrom. Sú to pomerne tvrdé a chladné kovy – do momentu, kým ich ohrejete plameňom. Potom kov zmäkne a lepšie sa s ním pracuje. Zlato a striebro ponúkajú kopu možností spracovania a klasických zlatníckych techník. Šperky môžete odlievať, komponovať z drôtu, valcovať, tepať, letovať, leptať, smaltovať... Z tvrdého, chladného kovu tak vytvoríte niečo roztomilé.
V kolekcii šperkov Zodiac si sa inšpirovala znameniami zverokruhu. Veríš na horoskopy? Aké znamenie si ty?
Musím povedať, že som skôr praktický človek, ale aj napriek tomu si horoskopy rada čítam. K poznaniu niečoho, čo je medzi nebom a zemou, som vždy otvorená. Myslím si, že to, kedy sme sa narodili a kde sme boli počatí, musí mať určitý vplyv na usporiadanie našej osobnosti. Znamenie som ryba, tesne s vodnárom. Musím povedať, že charakteristika na mňa sedí úplne presne.
Ako vyzerá tvoj bežný pracovný deň?
Každý úplne inak. Väčšinou sa ale zídeme v ateliéri s mojou pravou rukou – Míšou. Rozdáme si úlohy a ak ešte nie je pripravený, urobíme si denný plán. Ja potom časť dňa riešim maily a administratívu a väčšinou až poobede zasadnem k šperkárskemu stolu a tvorím.
Ktoré ročné obdobie je tvoje?
Mám moc rada jar, ale najlepšie je pre mňa asi leto. Milujem slnko a teplo, kúpanie, posedenie na zahrádke s kamarátmi a to, ako vás slnečné lúče nabijú energiou.
