One of the most striking manifestations of globalization in architecture is the homogenization of the appearance of cities and architectural structures which can lead to the loss of the uniqueness and authenticity of local cultural values. In response to this loss of identity, today we can observe a return to traditions in architecture and a return to the values and elements of past periods. This approach can be an important tool to preserve cultural traditions and identity, but it requires considerable skills and knowledge of historical practices and techniques, a concept that emphasizes the connection between local culture and architecture.
