Johann Sebastian Bach was a musical magician whose immortal 6 suites for solo cello are a rare recording made by the leading Slovak cellist Ján Slávik. The chamber work written for an unaccompanied solo instrument highlights the beauty and purity of Baroque music. The acoustically rich, acoustically ideal space of the Great Evangelical Church in Bratislava where the recording was made in a record short time from 26 to 28 May 2020 adds to the uniqueness of the album.
