ELAJEDIOVA was founded by Eliška Judová in 2011. Here you can find limited collections of clothing, bags, and leather accessories. In her work, she combines delicacy and elegance with references to nature and tradition. She prefers traditional crafting techniques and creation of products in shades of white, powder pink, black, and grey.
Kde a ako najradšej vymýšľaš a tvoríš?
Vymýšľanie je dosť záhadný proces. Nápad môže prísť kdekoľvek a kedykoľvek, zásadné sú vonkajšie podnety (zvuky, farby, pocity). Pre samotnú tvorbu je potom zásadný pokoj na sústredenie sa a hudba, ktorú pri práci počúvam.
Pred časom si sa presťahovala do Prahy. Ako sa ti v tomto meste žije a tvorí?
Praha pre mňa vždy bola vysneným mestom, kde som chcela žiť, takže presťahovaním sa mi splnil dlhoročný sen. Na Prahe mám rada jej atmosféru a energiu. Baví ma, že si uchováva svoju magickosť, ktorú keď chcete, nájdete všade okolo seba – sú to maličkosti, reliéfy na nárožiach domov, domové znamenia alebo jedna električka č. 13 (čítali ste Druhé mesto od Michala Ajvaze?). Zmena je to veľká a predpokladám, že sa premietne aj do mojej práce.
Okrem práce s kožou sa venuješ ilustrácii. Čo ťa v tejto oblasti poháňa?
Ilustrácia je útekom od reality. Je to svet, kde je všetko možné a to ma nesmierne baví. Inšpirujú ma všedné momenty, náš pes Hugo alebo príroda a podivuhodné zvieratá v nej.
Ako by vyzeral tvoj ideálny deň?
Ideálny je každý deň, ktorý máme možnosť prežiť. Takže každý deň, čo mám pred sebou, je ten najideálnejší.
Ako najradšej tráviš čas sama so sebou?
Taký moment takmer nenastáva, ale ak budeme brať do úvahy to, že som sama so sebou, aj keď som i s Hugom (taliansky chrt), potom som najradšej v parku s kávou v ruke, kde vymýšľame, čo nakreslíme, keď sa vrátime domov.
Spomenula si, že pri tvorbe rada počúvaš hudbu. Akú? Máš nejaké tipy?
Hudba je zásadnou súčasťou môjho fungovania. Nemám vyhranený štýl, naopak, rada počúvam rôzne žánre. Mám veľmi rada hudbu, ktorá vzniká na Islande – nielen o nej je knižka Juraja Kušnierika Hudba ostrova – tú veľmi odporúčam.
