Natália Hulejová studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Prof. Ivan Csudai. In painting, she searches for a home, a space, a path or a goal. The closest way of expression for her are semi-abstract positions, which are absolutely realistic for her, since she can actually see the spaces she paints in her head. Her initial goal was to paint/create spaces in which a person can immerse themselves and feel comfortable, joyful and happy. She strives to create a painting that will function as a tuning fork for a good mood. Accordingly, she also chooses color combinations that evoke the atmosphere for her to achieve this state. 

"In the current exhibition I am, again, I return to my past or draw from the present. The paintings are a reflection of my transformation into a woman who loves herself. Once again, I am looking for an answer through the specific spaces that I depict in the painting, currently with softer colour combinations that refer to tenderness, (self)acceptance, understanding and a slight melancholy, which is, however, transformed into reconciliation in a moment. Tenderness, love, leaving the past and finding the middle. A small being appears on almost every format. It is me, determined to move from path to path, from trial to trial, from fall to growth. It is us, each of us experiences these emotions. And my way of best processing them is painting. I want to show us that it is possible, that there is a way to work on ourselves and get out of difficult situations. However, I still look at this topic with hope and looking for ways to induce a feeling of liberation, exhalation... ❤ Each painting was inspired by a different song by Willow from the 2019 album of the same name. On the back of the painting you will always find short, concise words from the heart, describing the theme of the painting." Natália Hulejová
