Hibernation XII.
The Hibernation series presents the fragile beauty of flowers, preserving their colour and complex details in frozen form. In this form, they can be preserved for a long time. As soon as they are exposed to a higher temperature, everything changes andindividual parts decompose. The photo is a parallel to the fragility of our world and the climate crisis we are living in. It displays the sweet time of ignorance before we enter into difficult times and a new space in which we will have to re-sensitize and reconnect with the world. All photos are created in digital medium format (Hasselblad or Phase One) in the author's studio, printed on archival gallery Hahnemühle Fine Art Pearl paper.
